The race of the century in St. Landry Parish politics: controversial local lawyer, Tracy Barstow, attempted to unseat perennial incumbent, Morgan Goudeau. Of course, Barstow was soundly trounced, but it was the closest race Goudeau ever faced, probably because it was the only one he ever faced.
