Cooking Acadiana

The simplest and best tasting food came out of Mama’s black iron pot, so I used a simple line drawing for this year’s cookbook edition. I don’t really use models when I’m drawing, but I can’t help but notice the resemblance of the gentleman in the illustration to my father-in-law. Just a coincidence, although his cooking was unrivaled in all of South Louisiana.
